The more I learn about traditional art, the more I wanted to try and translate those physical skills I have collected into my digital art projects. The RacecaR logo I sketched previously was the first victim to receive this experimental digitization treatment.
Short of adding motion blur, I wanted to capture the illusion of movement with changes in line weights, with heavier lines in the back of the car. Imagine you are watching a car zoom by, perpendicularly to your line of sight. At first, when the car whizzes by, you aren't quite clear about what you are seeing. Eventually, your brain recognizes the car, and your eyes naturally track the object in it's path of motion, causing the latter half of the object to become more clearly in focus.
The Pen tool in Photoshop, despite the hundreds of hours I have spent on it, never seems to get easier. If I'm at the plateau of my understanding of the pen tool, then I'm in a bad place, and digital art may not be for me after all.
Any recommendations on some quick tricks to improve at using the pen tool?
